MSI, one of the leading manufacturers of high-end gaming accessories, has recently unveiled MEG X570S Ace Max, its newest motherboard. The new product is said to be a well-rounded motherboard with surprising capabilities. Some of the greatest features of the new Ace Max include things like a huge 18-phase power delivery with high quality 90 A power stages and the inclusion of an Intel Wi-Fi 6E wireless user interface. Some other features include four PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, support for DDR4-5300 memory, and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet.

MSI MEG X570S Ace Max motherboard appears to be to take things to the next stage with a attractive all-black design with contrasting gold lines and multiple areas of integrated RGB lighting effects.

MEG X570S series motherboards adopt tons of components, enhanced layout placement and PCB design dedicated for PCI-E Gen 4 solution, ensure the higher bandwidth and faster transfer speeds stability.

  • Reinforced PCIe 4.0 slot provides up to 64GB/s transfer bandwidth
  • Dedicated PCIe 4.0 M.2 connectors for the fastest onboard storage solution
  • PCIe 4.0 Re-Driver provides enhanced PCIe 4.0 signals for longer lengths.
  • Dedicated switches transfer both PCIe slot and M.2 4.0 signals
  • Optimised PCB layout fully supports higher bandwidth and transfer speeds for PCIe 4.0

Memory support is also outstanding, with support for up to DDR4-5300 and a max supported capacity of up to 128 GB through 4 memory slots.

Attempting to keep the system cool is a mixed total of eight 4-pin headers, such as one designated to a CPU fan, one for a water pump, and 6 for case fans. MSI also has a premium power delivery, with an 18-phase design using 90 A power stages compared to the 60 A power stages used on the original MEG X570 Ace.

The rear panel has a solid array of input and output befitting a premium model, including one USB 3.2 G2x2 Type-C, three USB 3.2 G2 Type-A, four USB 3.2 G1 Type-A, and four USB 2.0 ports. It uses a Realtek RTL8125B 2.5 GbE controller for Ethernet, and Intel's latest AX210 Wi-Fi 6E wireless interface for Wi-Fi, offering access to the 6 GHz band and support for BT 5.2 devices. There's also a premium onboard audio pairing of a Realtek ALC4082 HD audio codec and an ESS Sabre 9018Q2C DAC.

In terms of network, all MSI X570S Series motherboards are equipped with onboard 2.5 Gbps connectivity which provides incredible transfer speed. The wireless solution is upgraded to the latest Wi-Fi 6E that supports a 6 GHz spectrum. MSI X570S motherboards have at least 2 M.2 slots, and the MEG X570S UNIFY-X MAX even has 6 M.2 slots. Furthermore, MEG X570S motherboards adopt USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 capable of delivering transfer speed up to 20 Gb/s.

For hard-core users, we have the  with 4 Gen 4 M.2 slots covered with M.2 Shield Frozr and Double Side M.2 Thermal.

Audio is also a key upgrade point for these new motherboards. The MSI X570S gaming series motherboards feature Audio Boost 5. Excitingly, the MEG X570S ACE MAX features Audio Boost 5 HD, which gives the perfect experience for our users. Speaking of appearances, the MSI X570S Series motherboards have impressive designs too.

Compared with the current X570 chipset motherboard, the biggest change of the X570S chipset motherboard is that the South Bridge chip will be changed to passive cooling. The south bridge chips of the current X570 chipset motherboards are all supported by independent fans for heat dissipation.

The X570S chipset motherboard adopts the passive cooling design of the South Bridge, which in fact also shows that the process of AMD motherboard chips is improved, and the heat generation is not so high. This is a good sign!
