The new iPad 10.2-inch features A13 Bionic, Centre Stage and many more

Apple has revealed its newest generation of entry-level tablet, as a follower to  iPad 10.2(2020) which was released 11 months ago. It was launched along with the iPhone 13 lineup and Apple Watch series 7.The new iPad (2021) will likely be a popular slate for students, families, seniors and other less-demanding tech users thanks to its modest price, compared to the iPad Air and iPad Pro  models, which are more spec-heavy.It's not exactly a reinvention of its predecessor – in fact, it's identical in most ways – but there are a few tweaks that might appeal to some. Plus, it starts at the same price as the 2020 iPad, even though it has double the base storage.

The new iPad (9th generation), featuring the powerful A13 Bionic chip that packs even more performance and capability into the most popular iPad, all while retaining its all-day battery life. The new iPad features a 10.2-inch Retina display with True Tone, a 12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Centre Stage, support for Apple Pencil (1st generation) and Smart Keyboard, the intuitive iPadOS 15, and twice the storage of the previous generation.

A13 CHIP WITH ENHANCED PERFORMANCE

The new iPad comes equipped with the powerful A13 Bionic chip, delivering a 20% performance hike over the previous generation. This makes the new iPad up to 3x faster than the best-selling Chromebook, and up to a whopping 6x faster than the best-selling Android tablet. The added performance will allow users to seamlessly run advanced apps and games on the most affordable iPad. The Neural Engine in A13 Bionic also powers next-level machine learning capabilities, including Live Text coming in iPadOS 15, which uses on-device intelligence to recognise text in a photo that users can take action on.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

The new iPad looks similar to its predecessor. This is now the only Apple tablet that hasn't embraced the new style for iPads, with displays that encompass the whole front of the device, and with Face ID or Touch ID on a side button. No, here you've still got the same old big Touch ID button on the front. It is avaliable in Two colour options: silver and gray versions.According to Apple, the aluminum used here is 100% recycled. The new iPad's display is a 10.2-inch 1620 x 2160 LCD screen with Max brightness is 500 nits. For the first time, True Tone comes to the beautiful 10.2-inch Retina display on iPad. A new, upgraded ambient light sensor enables True Tone, which adjusts screen content to the colour temperature of a room. True Tone on the new iPad makes images appear more natural and provides users with a more comfortable viewing experience in all lighting environments.

CAMERA

The Centre Stage experience on iPad Pro is now available on iPad, enabled by the new 12MP Ultra Wide front camera and Neural Engine, so users can enjoy even more engaging video calls. As users move around, Centre Stage automatically pans the camera to keep them in view. When others join in, the camera detects them too, and smoothly zooms out to include them in the conversation. The rear camera is the same 8MP snapper as last time - it's the front where the big changes come, apparently.

STORAGE IS GETTING BIGGER
With its thin and light design and cellular option, iPad gives users the freedom to work, learn, play, and connect at home or on the go. The new iPad starts with 64GB of storage — double the storage of the previous generation — offering even more value to iPad users. A 256GB option is also available for users looking to store more apps, games, photos, and videos.
BATTERY LIFE AND OTHER FEATURES
Battery life continues to be the same with the always somewhat vague promise of up to 10 hours of browsing or watching videos, or up to 9 hours if you're doing so via a cellular network

It supports the first-gen Apple Pencil, which will be useful for note-taking and drawing, though you'll have to charge it by plugging it into the tablet's Lightning Port. This remains one of Apple's most head-scratching design decisions, as it means the stylus will be left dangling and elevated while it powers up.

You can get Wi-Fi or LTE versions of the new iPad, which means there's no 5G version.

The tablet will come with iPadOS 15 pre-installed, which is an iPad-specific version of iOS 15 with a few extra features like handwriting recognition.
